Let's Have a Picnic

My FMP collection ‘Let’s Have a Picnic’ is inspired by vintage picnics and nostalgia and is set in a woodland environment. I’ve used a vibrant colour palette to reflect the joy and play of being a child and to portray the summertime season! My project is an exploration into the textures and patterns of the picnic environment and the natural surrounding its set in, explored through methods of digital print, embroidery and hand embellishment. I’ve designed my collection for a Spring/Summer luxury girls wear range, reflecting the types of clothes I wanted to wear as a child and creating nostalgia for the parent! My love for colour, summertime and all things strawberry themed inspired this collection!
